Old Bridge Volunteer Fire Department

Around 5:45pm this evening a township general alarm went in for smoke coming from the basement of a house on Buck Road in East Brunswick. First on scene was Engine 706 which reported a light smoke condition showing from the structure. Assistant Chief 750 arrived and took command of the scene. The fire was contained to a small section of the basement and was quickly put out by crews on scene. Old Bridge Volunteer Fire Department

This morning shortly after 0600 Hrs all township fire companies were dispatched to Rues Lane for a reported house fire. Chief 700 arrived on scene to find smoke and fire visable from the 2nd floor of single family dwelling. E702 stretched an attack line, while E707 stretched a back up line. T809, S806, and Chief 850 assisted on the scene. L801 and E902 provided township coverage. Thank you to Robert Wood Johnson EMS and East Brunswick PD for the assistance on scene. The fire remains under investigation by Fire District #1 Fire Prevention.
